While our initial focus was on climate action, our sustainability strategy is evolving to embrace the social and governance elements of the ESG principles. We have a long way to go before reaching our goals, but we take steps every day.

EcoVadis Awards
As part of our commitment to society, our people, and the environment, FUJIFILM Biotechnologies performs sustainability ratings for all production sites globally with EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments. The EcoVadis assessment covers 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
By evaluating every site on a regular basis, we gain a structured, third-party-validated framework for managing sustainability across our operations, along with clear insights into strengths and areas for improvement. These insights inform targeted action plans, measurable KPIs, and a roadmap for continuous improvements that guides our year-over-year performance.
EcoVadis also enables benchmarking against industry peers, greater transparency for customers and stakeholders through a recognized rating, and enhanced risk management aligned with international norms.
We’re thrilled to share that we currently hold a gold medal and three silver medals with our fifth site in Texas to be evaluated during 2027.
