Celebrating an Exciting New Chapter!

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies celebrated the grand opening of our new state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical manufacturing hub in Holly Springs, North Carolina on September 24th.

  • Following a total investment of over $3.2 billion, the site adds significant large-scale production capacity to our global network.
  • The new facility provides 8 x 20,000 L mammalian cell culture bioreactors for large-scale cell culture manufacturing of bulk drug substance and flexible Drug Product and Finished Goods facility for multiple vial and prefilled syringe formats.
  • A further 8 x 20,000 L bioreactors are scheduled to come online by 2028, making this one of the largest cell culture biomanufacturing facilities in North America.

Through our modular operational model, kojoX™, the company has been able to construct nearly identical large-scale production facilities in the US and Denmark to ensure that customers can seamlessly integrate manufacturing production regardless of location.
