Boyd Spencer, Chief Technology and Transformation Officer, joined FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in early 2025. Boyd brings a powerful blend of experience from industry and consulting, with a proven history of transforming enterprise performance. In his role, Boyd will lead the global teams contributing to the company’s kojoX® manufacturing strategy, business technology and digital solutions, operations excellence improvements, and science and innovation initiatives.
Boyd has over 25 years of experience in biotechnologies, including a focus on digital solutions, operations improvement, and enterprise strategy and transformations. His time in life sciences has been evenly split between industry and management consulting. He spent several years at Merck in positions of increasing responsibility and was most recently a Partner in McKinsey’s Life Sciences practice. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
