New Quality Control Laboratory Opens in Denmark
|
|
FUJIFILM Biotechnologies celebrated the opening of a new quality control (QC) laboratory at its commercial-scale manufacturing site in Hillerød, Denmark. This expansion doubles the site’s QC footprint, enabling bioassay and virology operations to support growing customer demand.
Designed for flexibility, the lab supports about 100 quality professionals, and incorporates robotics and a global Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The lab
received DKMA approval in March and began operations earlier this month.
This investment enhances the Hillerød site’s readiness for continued expansion and increasing process complexity, reinforcing FUJIFILM Biotechnologies’ ability to deliver high-quality biologics manufacturing at scale for patients with severe diseases.
